Jeddah International College, in strategic partnership with the Saudi Bar Association, organized the forum “Law… Vision and Justice” on the occasion of International Law Day. The forum served as a rich platform to discuss the future of law in the era of digital transformation.
The forum opened with a speech delivered by Dr. Tariq bin Fouad Hamdi, Dean of Jeddah International College, who welcomed the guests and emphasized the college’s role in fostering legal dialogue and creating platforms that keep pace with legislative and technological developments. Mr. Khaled Abu Rashid, Chairman of the Lawyers Committee in the Makkah Region, also delivered a speech highlighting the progress of legislative and procedural development in the Kingdom, affirming the leading role of systemic transformations in supporting justice and enhancing its future environment.
The forum witnessed the presence of a distinguished group of legal professionals and experts who, in their panel discussions, addressed key issues including: the future of law with artificial intelligence, legal challenges of cybercrimes, and legislative visions for digital justice governance. The forum also hosted specialized workshops in collaboration with the “Legal Marathon” that discussed topics such as arbitration and dispute resolution, development of legal and judicial skills, and creating legislative solutions.
As part of the activities, the forum witnessed the signing of a community partnership agreement between Jeddah International College and the Arbitration Platform, aimed at enhancing academic and professional cooperation and supporting joint initiatives that serve the goals of empowering the legal environment and capacity-building in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
The forum also featured an exhibition for legal institutions, where participating entities showcased their programs and services in training, awareness, and capacity-building, contributing to the support and empowerment of the legal environment in the Kingdom.
