Undergraduate Admissions

Jeddah International College offers a range of academic programs approved

by the Ministry of Education, and admission to them is carried out according to the specified regulations

ADMISSION PROCEDURES
  1. Complete the online application on the college website.
  2. Pay a non-refundable application fee of SR 1200 at the Accounting Department.
  3. Submit the required documents to the Admission and Registration Department.
  4. Sit for the English placement test.
  5. Sit for the Math placement test (for the majors of Industrial Engineering, Information Technology and Computer Science).
  6. Receive the admission results.
  7. Receive the user name and password for the portal and the college email.
  8. Visit the academic advisor to select the courses.
  9. Pay the tuition fees and register the courses through the portal.
  10. Start attending the classes.
  11. Attend the orientation program.
ADMISSION CRITERIA
  1. The student must have obtained at least 65% in the high school certificate or its equivalent (for the majors of Business and Design), and 70% in the high school certificate (science track) or its equivalent (for the majors of Engineering, Information Technology, and Computer Science).
  2. The Certificate Equivalency Letter from the Ministry of Education must be provided in case the student obtained a high school certificate from outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  3. The student must not be registered in another university or college.
  4. The student must pass the English placement test and any other tests determined by the college as one of the admission requirements.
  5. The student must be medically fit according to a medical report submitted by a recognised hospital.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS

Students who graduated from international schools, as well as students who obtained a score of 35 on the TOEFL test or a score of 5 on the ILETS test, are exempted from taking the English language placement test.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
  1. The original high school certificate or its equivalent
  2. Two recent personal photos (4×6 size)
  3. A valid national ID card for Saudis, or a valid Iqama for non-Saudis, for validation
RE-ADMISSION
  • The student must apply for readmission after four semesters past the deactivation semester without referring to the previous academic record.
  • The student must meet all the admission requirements announced at the requested semester, and the College Council has the right to make an exception.
  • Students who have received a disciplinary dismissal do not have the right to apply for readmission.
TRANSFER STUDENTS
  • The student must have studied at a college or university recognised by the Ministry of Education.
  • The student must not have been dismissed from the previous college or university for disciplinary reasons.
  • The cumulative grade point average should not be less than 2.00 out of 5.00.
  • The courses in which the student obtained a grade equivalent to 70% or above will be equalised to the equivalent courses offered at Jeddah International Private College.

ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS

Siblings’ discounts
The discount is due in the event that all brothers / sisters attend the college for those who do not benefit from scholarships or any other discounts. The discount is granted to the student for a period of 5 years, including the English language year.
  • The primary student: No discount (whether he has another scholarship or not)
  • The first brother or sister: 10% if he/she is not a beneficiary of another grant or discount, or 5% if he/she is a beneficiary.
  • Second brother or sister:15% if he/she is not a beneficiary of another grant or discount, or 5% if he/she is a beneficiary.
Excellence Scholarships for high school graduates
The college grants students a discount of more than 5% to 50% with the written approval of the senior management for non-beneficiaries of any scholarship or any other discounts

Scholarships are offered at the beginning of the academic year only, provided that the selection between them is by a system of differentiation after providing evidence as follows

  • A student with a score of 100% will receive a 50% discount.
  • The student who obtains a score of 98% to 99.9% is granted a 25% discount.
  • The student who obtains a score of 95% to 97% is granted a 15% discount rate.
  • The student who obtains a score of 90% to 94.99% is granted a 10% discount rate.
  • The student who obtains a score of 85% to 89.99% is granted a 5% discount rate.
Scholarships “Community service”
to the sons and daughters of martyrs, orphans, and people with special needs:

The college offers (3) annual 50% scholarships,

  • one scholarship for each of the sons and daughters of martyrs,
  • A scholarship for orphans,
  • A scholarship for people with special needs,

according to a statement from an official body, and for non-beneficiaries of any other scholarship or discounts, provided that the high school percentage is not less than 90% and to pass the personal interview and then compare them.
