About the Law Department

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has witnessed, thanks to God and then through the efforts of its wise leadership, a wide renaissance in the field of education, especially legal education, which received support from the wise leadership of this blessed country. In keeping with this support, Jeddah International College established the Department of Law to keep pace with Vision 2030. In light of this, the Department of Law at Jeddah College seeks a global mission to achieve the Kingdom’s vision and consolidate its role among the various departments. This is through his study plan, which includes many courses that keep pace with legal developments in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia without prejudice to the Kingdom’s peculiarities derived from its system of government based on the Book of God and the Sunnah of His Messenger. The program helps to qualify students, train legal cadres, and provide them with legal skills and knowledge from a theoretical and applied perspective in the field of law, enabling them to undertake legal work in various fields and sectors that contribute to the development of the nation in accordance with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

Goals

The Law Program at Jeddah International College aims to achieve the following goals:
• Preparing cadres and competencies capable of analysis and creativity in the legal field.
• Preparing cadres capable of preparing and analyzing legal research.
• Preparing cadres who have the ability to be creative and think in order to find appropriate solutions to the legal problems facing society and the extent to which they can be implemented.
• Providing the student with the skill that enables him to analyze, draft, and write legal texts in Arabic and English.

Career opportunities

The career opportunities available to a law graduate are varied and are as follows:

  • Working in legal departments, whether in the public or private sector.
  • Working in the Bureau of Investigation and Public Prosecution.
  • Working in the Ministry of Interior and military institutions.
  • Working in the Experts Committee of the Council of Ministers.
  • Working in diplomatic positions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  • Working as a lawyer or legal advisor.
  • Working in government departments and national associations concerned with human rights, including international and regional organizations to which the Kingdom has joined.
