Guidelines

The duties of the unit are as follows:

  • Supervising and following up on all initiatives and programs presented by the Authority, and implementing the regulations’ articles and regulations approved by the Authority.
  • Verify that research proposals comply, in form and content, with the rules regulating the program and the instructions contained in the Commission.
  • Ensure that the research proposal is new and that all or part of it has not been previously submitted to another party or funded previously.
  • Adherence to the scientific secretariat regulations issued by the Authority and ensuring that the citation rate in the research proposal is consistent with the regulations of each program.
  • Verify that there is no penalty imposed on a member of the research team as a result of violating scientific integrity.
  • Verifying the total contributions of researchers and the rewards they receive from the research projects in which they participate.
  • Verify that the participation of researchers from outside Saudi Arabia (if any) is consistent with the approved controls for the participation of researchers from outside the Kingdom.
  • Verifying the implementation of all conditions of initiatives and programs, receiving and arbitrating various reports, and successfully closing research.
  • Spending on the unit’s and arbitration requirements from the budget allocated in the grant contract.
  • Providing the Authority with the reports and statistics required for research, development and innovation work related to the entity.
  • Submitting periodic reports on the unit’s performance to the Authority.
